Deke eden finley6/7/2023 ![]() One of Five ARC’s for Deke (Fake Boyfriend Book 3)Įden Finley is an Amazon bestselling author who writes steamy contemporary romances that are full of snark and light-hearted fluff. But even worse, athletes hate journalists. It’s a lesson I should’ve learned by now. That all changes when my editor reassigns me. I’m not supposed to see him again, and he’s never supposed to find out I’m a reporter. In my defense, I don’t recognize Ollie Strömberg right away. Word of advice: learn how to introduce yourself properly. I take him up on it without asking his name. A fake boyfriend seems like an easy and quick solution to get my family off my back, and this guy is volunteering. I have a bitter ex-boyfriend and an unstable NHL career to show for it. My family believe I can’t be happy if I’m not out to the world. Even if they’re charming and adorably nerdy and offer to help. ![]() Word of advice: don’t come out to random guys in public restrooms. ![]() Cover Design: Kellie Dennis / Book Cover by Design ![]()

Carol the price of salt6/7/2023 ![]() Others provide their judgment on their preferences without any concern for the lover’s wants. Yet, the story also teaches that once the ecstasy of love is gotten, others get in the way. The story teaches the opportunity to be in love is a treasure that if not nurtured will become valueless. Why? Perhaps because we try to protect ourselves from having to give up one’s independence. ![]() Next comes the close understanding of just who the other partner is, their frailties and wants and the question, can the allure survive? Once the love is underway, the lovers can become abusive. Helen pankhurst deeds not words6/6/2023 ![]() This is a fantastic book for anyone who wants a more comprehensive picture of the status of UK women past and present - for example it goes beyond the classic statistics about women's representation in parliament and looks at women in the police, the legal system etc., to offer a much fuller picture. Published in 2018 to celebrate the centenary of the 1918 act that gave some women the vote, Deeds Not Words looks at how women's rights have progressed in the last 100 years. ![]() My vision for the world is that by 2028, we will have stopped forgetting women and started making them count." (Caroline Criado-Perez, feminist activist, journalist and writer) The evidence of the cost and consequence of this one-size-fits-men approach is mounting. There is a chronic global data gap when it comes to women: partly because we forget women, and partly because we think women can make do and mend. ![]() ![]() The medicine we are prescribed the infrastructure governments build the tools we use all are designed around male bodies and male needs, leaving women at a huge but hidden disadvantage in almost every area of life. ![]()

Ahimsa supriya kelkar6/6/2023 ![]() ![]() ![]() These are the kinds of details that often work to bring a story to life, and Ahimsa is not different. But, Kelkar has taken great pains to make this important period in Indian history accessible, although at times she waxes a little on the didactic side when it comes to describing the political situation.īut one of the things I did like is that Kelkar has included a lot of interesting, personal details in her narrative descriptions, including what daily life was like, the kinds of clothing people wore, food they ate, games kids played, holidays celebrated as well as accounts of the living conditions of someone in the Brahmin class, of the basti where the Dalits live, and even a bit about how the members of the British Raj (rulers) lived. I found Ahimsa to be a very interesting novel about social injustice in 1940s India that covers quite a lot of historical and political ground, some of which may not be familiar to young American readers. ![]()
